  • Senior CFD Engineer

    Full-Time

    An opportunity has arisen at SPEX for a Senior CFD Engineer skilled in engineering analysis to join our expert engineering team. This exciting analyst role will include the initial setup, running and overseeing of large and complex fluid multi-phase simulations using our in-house class leading High Performance Computing (HPC).

    SPEX places a strong emphasis on results-driven design by analysis coupled with real world testing and verification. 
    The successful candidate will have extensive experience and a proven track record using ANSYS Fluent Computational Fluid Dynamics software at a Senior Engineering level. Experience in Finite element analysis (FEA) and ANSYS Autodyn would also be advantageous. He or she will work closely with in-house Mechanical and Project engineers, and Draughters to evaluate and drive innovative subsea concepts through to delivery.

    The ideal candidate will be considered an expert in CFD and will be both diligent and highly motivated. Analysis expertise shall be coupled with a practical, delivery driven grounding. An Oil and Gas background is desirable but is not essential. Preference will be given to applications from Chartered Engineers or those meeting or exceeding the requirements of Chartered Engineer status.

    Key Responsibilities:

    • Analyse and develop next-generation subsea products in line with key project and budget milestones
    • Conduct analysis verification/validation and testing studies
    • Liaise with all departments and clients, as required
    • Author/co-author technical reports and memorandums

    Qualifications:

    • Degree qualified in relevant engineering subject
    • A minimum of 5 years of related experience preferably in the Oil and Gas Industry
